Access4Aid is a social initiative that has been created to provide informal workers with better access to resources and support. We aim to empower this community through knowledge, building awareness, and information about their rights, and to help them navigate challenges by making well-informed decisions. In this vein, we have curated comprehensive resources that detail useful information. The Awareness4Aid Pamphlets provide condensed and accessible information on the employment rights of informal workers. Our goal is also to provide updated information on government schemes that focus on providing welfare and employment opportunities for informal workers, for which we have curated an exhaustive database of government schemes that might be useful to them titled the Welfare4Aid Repository.
Additionally, we have developed a Knowledge4Aid survey to assess the community's needs and collect data on the recurring issues they face. We believe that a large part of empowering minority communities such as this one is advocating for them by spreading awareness and information about their struggles, hence, we have also launched an online blog series, Econ4Aid, to bring to light the injustices informal workers face on a daily basis; through which, we hope to open doors for social integration and inclusion. Finally, we recognize the importance of practical, hands-on learning. Our Aid4All and Hygiene4All workshop sessions have been conducted to educate informal workers and their families, on employment matters, legal provisions and sanitation practices in order to equip them with knowledge that can help them lead more well-rounded, healthy, and empowered lives.
